Letter from Laura Bailey, Co-Director, The Dancers' Directive:

"I expect that like me you have had little to do with spinal injury however you may recall how it turned Superman into Super dependent! It doesn't need to be this way.

Tom is an example of what is possible with research and access to the best facilities, therapy and the generosity of the wider dance community. He learned to walk again.

To show our support for others with spinal injuries, The Dancers’ Directive is holding a Gala night in conjunction with Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation at Shore School Theatre, North Sydney. All funds raised from the evening will go towards rehabilitation equipment for the hospital. Attached is a Sponsorship pack that gives you more information about the event, sponsorship and how you can be involved.

We'd love you to consider sponsoring this Gala. As a sponsor you will be entitled to 2 tickets to the event which will see a culmination of dancers from across Australia and New Zealand displaying talent and innovation. Empowering for dancers and audience members alike, this unique event is a chance to celebrate a thriving arts culture whilst supporting a cause and uniting to enable sufferers of spinal injuries to live fulfilling lives.

If you are unable to sponsor, you can donate or buy tickets.

As a sponsor you are entitled to use the POWH Foundation logo for 12 months to display your involvement with the charity.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the arts and rehab communities and help support those with serious injuries through the joy of dance. The night will be a celebration of life and movement and showcase what we can achieve together.

If you would like to be involved I would love to hear from you. I can be contacted at to discuss the options. Thank you for considering this request."
