Retirement of Professor Tim Geraghty

Tim was elected to the Board early-2013, bringing not only clinical expertise but level-headed, insightful counsel. He contributed to build bridges with ANZSCoS, was a grant reviewer, was instrumental in successfully securing sponsors and exhibitors for Connections 2014 and provided help early on with the Registry. He retired from the Board in November 2016.

He is a Rehabilitation Physician at the Queensland Spinal Cord Injuries Service and Medical Chair at the Division of Rehabilitation, Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He is also a Professor of Rehabilitation, Centre of National Research on Disability and Rehabilitation Medicine (CONROD), School of Human Services and Social Work, Griffith University.

Tim had served on the boards of consumer organisations such as the Spinal Life Australia and the Paraplegic Benefit Fund. He had held the positions of Chair, Queensland Branch, Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) and the President of ANZSCoS, 2007-2010.
